I arrived in the US in the late 1980s as an international student with ambition and limited resources. Over three decades I climbed from software developer to Global Head roles at two of fintech's most respected firms — MSCI and Calypso Technology (now NASDAQ) — while becoming a Certified Executive Coach from UC Berkeley.
I founded TopSeeds to give other leaders the playbook I wish I'd had: the frameworks, strategies, and honest perspective that actually work at the highest levels of global finance and fintech.
My approach blends analytical rigor — honed over decades as a CFA Charterholder and global executive — with the empathy and structured methodology of a Berkeley-certified coach.
Joe brings 25 years of technology, finance, and operational expertise spanning product management at Oracle, investment banking at CIBC, and sell-side equity research at TD Cowen. He understands the complete lifecycle of business leadership — from product development to capital markets strategy.
As former Senior Director at Alvarez & Marsal, Joe led private equity value-creation initiatives and M&A diligence on transactions totaling $10 billion, driving corporate transformations that generated over $1 billion in shareholder value. As Head of Investor Relations at BlackBerry, he guided the company through its strategic pivot from hardware to automotive software.
